At the Drive-in
Details: Call it progressive hardcore punk maybe but this band did for music in the 90’s what Zeppelin and Pink Floyd did in their days and that is saying a lot.
Retired: “You’re a robot, you’re a sheep.. BAAHHH!!” were probably the famous last words of Cedric as At the Drive-in played their last major show. The classic drugs + artistic differences brought these fellows in.
Favorite Songs: Cosmonaut / Sam Farraday likes Napoleon Solo.
Last Seen: Well the two sides of the ATDI coin were seen as Sparta (the alternative rock side) and The Mars Volta (the progressive side). Sparta has since called it quits and Jim Ward has gone solo (in the hardcore->progressive->folk musical direction) as the other members played our favorite retirement home game of “Musical bands”. The Mars Volta is still the number one soundtrack to current acid trips.
Reunion show?: Let’s just say they are “talking” and I am keeping a few hundred dollars saved up for a plane ticket.
